Description
Position Details- Non-union - This position is temporary full time for up to 12 months.


Key Accountabilities- Lead and manage SaskEnergy's daily operational requirements associated with the flow of gas within Saskatchewan and neighbouring provinces while managing all SaskEnergy inventory accounts, including storage, to ensure that SaskEnergy meets its contractual requirements and its physical supply needs.- Accountable to accurately forecast SaskEnergy's monthly and daily load requirements for the LDC, which drives decisions the Director makes to ensure adequate supply is purchased to meet SaskEnergy's customers needs.- Facilitate the operational portion of the Gas Retailer service; develop Gas Retailer supply forecasts to determine their yearly, monthly, and daily load profiles and manage Gas Retailer supply requirements to ensure adequate supply is received.- Lead all SaskEnergy's annual and monthly storage and transportation contracting requirements; develop SaskEnergy's transportation and storage forecasts as well as the operational plan which help drive budgeting and rates.- Provide oversight to the monthly gas allocations process and the monthly settlement process for purchase and sale transactions, ensuring the timely and accurate generation of invoices and purchase statements.- Lead Gas Supply in its use of the gas management system while working with the various user groups; determine required enhancements to the gas management system to ensure that the system is meeting their business requirements, and manage all of Gas Supply's gas management systems testing.- Provide guidance, training, coaching, feedback, and recognition for staff while maintaining a positive and productive culture that includes safety, accountability, respect.- Other related duties as assigned.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities- Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting or a related field.- An accounting designation would be considered an asset.- Seven (7) years of experience in natural gas transaction, transportation, and storage management.- Ability to coach and mentor employees while building and maintaining effective relationships and empowering team members to succeed.- Highly collaborative; interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to build, manage and foster relationships both across the organization and with external parties.- Results oriented thinker, with the ability to manage and provide advice regarding complex and confidential issues with sensitivity and professionalism.- Ability to impact and influence others while holding people accountable.- Excellent oral and written communication skills.- Ability to work and manage in a changing environment while meeting tight deadlines.- Must have a continuing record of professional development and continuous learning.

A suitable combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.


Additional Information- Travel, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters, is required on occasion.- A Class 5 Driver's License is required.
