Library Clerk IV to join our Access Services, Patrick Power Library team.

Job Information and Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Manager, Access Services, the Library Clerk IV will:
- Monitor the progress and performance of student assistants.
- Coordinate, train, direct and assign the work of evening parttime student assistants.
- Schedules desk shifts and replacement staff as required.
- Use Integrated Library system to: Charges out, discharges and renews General Loan, Periodical and Reserve Reading items and laptops.
- Create and/or updates Patron Records in database.
- Coordinate the processing of transactions for books not attached to Novanet database.
- Interacts with the Cataloguing and Metadata Systems staff to resolve problems relating to bibliographic records in the database.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience and Education Requirements
To be the successful Library Clerk IV you will have:
- Library and Information Technician (LIT) Diploma and minimum one-year related experience or;
- High School graduation and minimum two (2) year's related Library experience.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to function independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good working knowledge of an academic library and its resources.
- Experience with an integrated library system an asset.
