Description
The
Sales and Marketing Account Manager is responsible for developing and managing sales within specific verticals.

Relationship development as well as strong interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of the printing industry in a B2B role is required.


Challenges:

-
Pre-sales/ Sales Support

  • Assist team in strategic and senior level product presentations and demonstrations.
  • Support the development of advanced or complex evaluations.
  • Coordinate and provide strategic input for needs analysis and RFP/RFI responses.
  • Provide senior level account followup for technical issues during and after a sales cycle.
  • Advise Sales Representatives on technical qualification and trial planning for prospects.
  • Ability to adapt to unique characteristics of regions across Canada.

Business Development/Marketing Support

  • Coordinate local technical account update programs for strategic/major accounts.
  • Support local trade show/seminar activity.
  • Actively create and execute local marketing programs that complement other corporate initiatives.
  • Support the Big 6 program and strategic business development partners within the area.
  • Management Skills
  • Actively staff and plan for staffing within the area.
  • Develop and administer goals and objectives for all sales personnel.
  • Conduct annual performance and compensation reviews for all presales staff.
  • Excellent Sales, Time, Project and Territory Management skill.
  • Comfortable managing a team across Canada.
  • Build strong relationships with key peers in field operations.

Management Reporting and Administration

  • Provide management with required periodic activity reporting.
  • Develop product input/enhancement documents.
  • Provide any other reporting defined by sales or technical management.

Qualifications:


  • 5 to 7 years in the printing industry with specific emphasis on selling short run print products and services. Proven success penetrating medium to large sized organizations (public & private).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Impeccable customer Service experience
  • Indepth understanding of the sales process demonstrated through:
years of Pre-sales/Sales experience

  • 35 years of management experience in a sales/presales environment
  • Ability to plan and execute a trial closure plan in a timely fashion
