Bayview Glen is currently looking to hire Piano Player to assist our Musical Theatre Director with the organization and creation of our Musical Theatre performances for 4-weeks during the coming Summer of 2023 for campers ages 7-13.
Dates of Employment
Sessions:
July 3rd - July 14th & August 1st-11th
Location: 85 Moatfield Dr, Toronto, ON M3B, Canada
- Responsibilities and Duties_
- Work with campers over a (2 separate) 2week periods to create a musical theatre presentation for their families.
- Learn sheet music to accompany campers during the performance.
- Ensure you are comfortable performing all songs to assist campers during rehearsal stage.
- Rehearse roles with campers during the 2week camp to prepare for presentation.
- Work with musical theatre director to ensure campers are prepared for culminating performance.
- Assist Musical Theatre Director during audition process.
- Involve all campers in rehearsals, including those with smaller roles.
- Ensuring all Covid19 Safety protocols and Government regulations are being followed.
- Communicate regularly with head staff member to ensure awareness of any physical, psychological, emotional and/or medical limitations of campers and/or staff that could affect their safety while onsite
- Constantly revamping the daily/weekly schedule as needed based on the groups of campers participating.
- Participate in all theme days as outlined by the camp schedule.
- Must have at least completed Grade 1
- Experience teaching songs and rehearsing music with youth is an asset.
- Standard First Aid Training and CPR
- C or higher required (certified on or after September 2019).
- Comfortable providing detailed and written incident/accident reports.
- Preference given to those applicants with previous experience within a camp setting.
- As a condition of employment, a current Vulnerable Sector Screening Police Check and First Aid certification will be required.
