The Role

This role involves providing cleaning and related services for assigned facilities under the direction of the Team Leader.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key activities include:

• washing, dusting, emptying litter and recycling containers
• operating cleaning equipment, changing light bulbs, and shoveling snow
• securing facilities after hours by locking doors, closing windows, and resetting security systems
• ensuring compliance with corporate policies, environmental, health and safety, and fire protection guidelines
• representing BGIS to enhance tenant and customer satisfaction
• working shifts, on-call/standby, and emergency call-out as required

Requirements

We are looking for individuals with:

• 1-year minimum experience in industrial/commercial facility cleaning operations
• a self-starter mindset, willing to learn, and able to work independently
• excellent verbal communication, writing skills, and interpersonal relationship skills
• a positive attitude toward Environment, Health and Safety
• knowledge of national and industry codes and standards such as WHMIS
