  • 5+ Years Logistics experience supporting the manufacturing sector facilitating transportation/logistics crossborder and/or domestic Canada
  • Expertise utilizing a variety of modes and equipment types (such as: Dry, Temperature Control, Specialized equipment, Dangerous Goods TL, LTL and IM).
  • Can build trust and act genuine.
  • Represent the company in a professional ethical manner.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Effective in digesting important data, summarizing it and presenting the story to the customer so it can be actionable.
  • Ability to lead while building a team environment.
  • Experience leading onboarding initiatives and projects.
  • Strong organizational skills that can multitask, respect deadlines and prioritize.
  • Excellent negotiation skills that allow each party to feel they have gained.
  • Commitment to executional excellence and outstanding customer service.
  • Embraces complexity with the objective to understand it and stabilize the situation.
  • Ability to develop and document standard operating procedures.
  • Experience using Lean Tools for problem solving and finding amicable solutions with Internal and External parties.

Responsibilities

  • Owns the customer relationship and health of the account.
  • Primary contact for the Customer.
  • Continues to build and maintain C-Level and influencer relationships.
  • Maintains a holistic view and understanding of scope of services and how internal functional areas and external parties all connect.
  • Plays a key role in customer retention by consistently creating value.
  • Support customers in achieving strategic growth plans.
  • Ensures all customer deliverables are met (deadlines set by the customer).
  • Identifies continuous improvement opportunities, sets scope and expected benefits.
  • Lead and manage projects until completion report on progress, engage stakeholders as needed.
  • Engages in frequent touch points with customer and suppliers.
  • Prepares and presents the Monthly or Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Measures and report on time performance and work with those under performing.
  • Fosters strong relationships with the ability to address conflict, negotiate and reach resolution.
  • Responsible for training and empowering team members.
  • Set up, test and train on new initiatives.
  • Reconcile, identify trends and action on invoice discrepancies.
  • Participate in Supplier Business Reviews.
  • Investigate and process all OS&D submissions received by the customer(s).
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Operational Guides that add value to the process and outcomes.
  • Proactively plan for forecasted volumes, disruption in service due to peaks and holidays.
  • Seek market intelligence with the ability to be nimble and react to market conditions (peak seasons, government regulations, natural disasters, strikes, etc.).
  • Lead and participate in crossfunctional projects such as Customer or Supplier startups, Procurement events, the rollout of new service offerings, implementing strategies to meet customer requirements, and provide cost savings (CI or productivity projects).
  • Use your knowledge, expertise and network contacts to create a pipeline of new relationships.
  • Identify not in scope opportunities.
  • Assist and/or lead in Supplier/Carrier Sourcing initiatives or Ad hoc requests.
  • Assist and/or lead in onboarding new suppliers/carriers.
