We are currently seeking an enthusiastic
Light
Equipment Operator for our Solar Projects in
Joffre (Red Deer) Alberta and potentially other locations throughout Alberta.


You will use your expertise to:
(You will be responsible for performing such duties and responsibilities which may be assigned to you from time to time by your leader.)

  • Operate light equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with job site safety plans and company policies and procedures.
  • Perform preoperational checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any issues to management.
  • Use equipment to move, load, and unload materials as needed, following instructions from supervisors or team leaders.
  • Ensure that materials are properly stacked, stored, and secured to prevent damage or accidents.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment, performing routine inspections, oil changes, and other maintenance tasks as required.
  • Complete required paperwork and documentation related to equipment operation, maintenance, and safety.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other team members to ensure that work is completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, including equipment and materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • 1 2 years experience operating light equipment in a construction or similar environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions and diagrams related to equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with others.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed

Where you will be working, your work schedule, and other important information:

The base hours of work are a regular 44-hour work week, Monday to Saturday, with the potential for extended work hours based on the business needs.
