Matrix HR is recruiting experienced Journeyperson

Carpenters/Joiners for a long-standing Industrial Construction Company located in Halifax NS.

Location:
Halifax NS, Must be local to Halifax/surrounding area

Pay Rate:
$43.00/per hour

Responsibilities:

Experience with Industrial and Commercial Carpentry scopes is a requirement.
Provide a safe work environment, maintaining "Safety First" for your team by identifying ongoing hazards, mitigation, and participating in all safety meetings.
Work according to blueprints.
Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, steel, and other materials.
Install windows, doors, feature walls/ceiling etc
Collaborate with the construction team for ontime completion and seamless integration.
Ability to work with multiple trades on site.
Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
Regular reporting to the project's Site Supervisor.
Assist with Project Management.
Flexibility in roles and responsibilities as required by the Site Supervisor.

Experience:

5+ years of related Industrial carpentry experience
Exceptional construction and building code knowledge.
Commercial metal frame and door construction.
Precision hardware installation.
Experience working with power tools.
Experience working in all weather conditions.
Not afraid of heights.
Able to lift 50+ pounds.
Working knowledge of construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
Capable of identifying concerns and generating solutions.
