How You'll Perform the Role

This Analyst position has primary responsibilities for the accounting for inventory, periodic set-up and cost roll for new items, monthly inventory reconciliation, analysis of production variances associated with inventory adjustments, month-end and year end physical count, and publishing of periodic reports.

The position, based in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, reports to the Financial Controller.

  • Provide financial reporting and analytics to the Brampton finance and leadership team for inventories across three manufacturing facilities.
  • Improve the cycle count process, set the appropriate frequency to achieve the desired cycles in a year, and work with the warehouse management to design and fully support the annual physical count, external audit, and analytics of the count results.
  • Identify areas to improve controls through business process changes, process monitoring and financial reporting / analytics.
  • Asist in the development and then the execution of improved inventory process.
  • Develop reports and analytics to evaluate financial and operational performance of inventory management to include monthly inventory reconciliation, slowmoving, excess and obsolete inventory analytics. These analytics include all Brampton inventory locations and warehouses, production areas, offsite warehouses, and inventories consigned to customer locations.
  • Contribute towards maintaining a strong, costeffective controls environment ensuring compliance with internal accounting policies, procedures, and reporting regulations.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned.

What We Need From You

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
years experience working in a manufacturing environment is required.

  • Experience building more complex financial models for manufacturing financial reporting and variance analysis.
