Detailed Overview:

Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose and Commitments of Fraser Health including service delivery that is centered around patients/clients/residents and families:

The role is responsible to review the structure and provision of staffing/scheduling services by a central staffing centre to service departments across Fraser Health and to identify process, resource and structure changes to enhance the quality of services provided.


Responsibilities:


  • Supports learning needs assessments of individuals through on site education support and learning plans
  • Assists with assessment and implementation of service needs including the development of new units and modifications to existing units.
  • Conducts and monitors regular quality audits on staffing services systems and process.
  • Plans and schedules educational activities and maintains a system for tracking attendance; maintains statistics for reporting purposes.
  • Works in collaboration with the Staffing Services Leaders to ensure that clinical managers are consistent with staff scheduling best practice, collective agreement requirements, FH processes, and testing staffing processes for any planned software upgrades.
  • Evaluates and monitors statistical reporting and performance metrics with staffing services operations.
  • Assesses the qualifications and experience required, the technical training required for schedulers and develops plans to implement changes that may be required in conjunction with Staffing Leaders and Clinical Managers
  • Reviews and recommends process changes for work flow and staffing levels in scheduling processes in conjunction with Staffing Leaders and Clinical managers.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

Graduation of a two year diploma program related to administration supplemented with three (3) years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.

Demonstrates the leadership practices of the Fraser Health Leadership Framework of Clear, Caring and Courageous and creates the conditions for people to succeed.


Professional/Technical Capabilities:


  • Demonstrated experience with computer and staffing software programs.
  • Demonstrated experience with staffing services.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of collective agreement provisions.
