We know that the job of a chef is not limited to food. It takes skill, dedication, patience, and the right opportunities. We are looking for a Chef Manager who can help us deliver the best customer service and culinary experiences.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will take a hands-on approach by focusing on team development, culinary expertise, safety protocol and customer relations.

Our Chief Manager will also play a key role in helping us meet budget requirements and execute programs provided by the company.

  • The focus is on the administrative side, there is more management than cooking involved, although both are necessary._

Bilingual (English and French, Spanish is a plus)

Responsibilities:


  • Train and manage kitchen staff and supervise and coordinate all related culinary activities.
  • Estimate food consumption and make food requests or purchases.
  • Select and create recipes, as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality.
  • Establish presentation techniques and quality standards and forecast and price menus.
  • Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of equipment as well as safety and hygiene in the kitchen.
  • Oversee special catering events and may also offer cooking classes and/or demonstrate cooking techniques.

Qualifications:


  • Position requiring two to three years of experience in a related role.
  • Position requiring two to three years of postsecondary education or equivalent experience.
  • Degree in culinary field desirable
  • Position requiring experiential knowledge of people and/or problem management.
  • Position requiring advanced knowledge of the principles and practices of the foodrelated profession.
  • Position requiring oral communication skills in reading and writing.

Bilingual (English and French, Spanish is a plus)
