We know that the job of a chef is not limited to food. It takes skill, dedication, patience, and the right opportunities. We are looking for a Chef Manager who can help us deliver the best customer service and culinary experiences.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will take a hands-on approach by focusing on team development, culinary expertise, safety protocol and customer relations.

Our Chief Manager will also play a key role in helping us meet budget requirements and execute programs provided by the company.

The focus is on the administrative side, there is more management than cooking involved, although both are necessary._

Bilingual (English and French, Spanish is a plus)

Responsibilities:

Train and manage kitchen staff and supervise and coordinate all related culinary activities.
Estimate food consumption and make food requests or purchases.
Select and create recipes, as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality.
Establish presentation techniques and quality standards and forecast and price menus.
Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of equipment as well as safety and hygiene in the kitchen.
Oversee special catering events and may also offer cooking classes and/or demonstrate cooking techniques.

Qualifications:

Position requiring two to three years of experience in a related role.
Position requiring two to three years of postsecondary education or equivalent experience.
Degree in culinary field desirable
Position requiring experiential knowledge of people and/or problem management.
Position requiring advanced knowledge of the principles and practices of the foodrelated profession.
Position requiring oral communication skills in reading and writing.
