Position Overview
The Logistics Coordinator is required to demonstrate skills in the implementation of warehouse responsibilities. The Logistics Coordinator will participate in warehouse operations and collaborate with other team members


Areas of Focus
Oversee and participate in the warehouse operations and activities of the distribution center


Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned including the following

• Unloading of trailers and verifying piece counts and receipt inspection
• Preparing shipments including picking / packing / labeling product
• Communicates with carriers and customers to coordinate / schedule trucks and deliveries
• Utilizes Plex MRP to process receipt, shipment of product and to prepare shipping documents
• Participate in all company training including TDG and WHMIS
• Communicates with various team members, departments, vendors, and others to provide and receive information, help resolve questions and issues, and coordinate warehouse activities
• Maintain a variety of records and files to assure SOP's are being followed
• Assist with performing inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
• Maintains condition of work area (i.e. good housekeeping, product in correct location, etc.)
• Partner closely with the sales and customer service department to understand product and policies, assist to resolve issues that may come up, and to provide valuable information to address discrepancies with shipment related activities
• Maintain a safe working environment per government regulations as set forth by OSHA, the company and any others that may apply
• Participate in battery service and charging including safely connecting batteries

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Good writing and communication skills
• MS Office experience
• Warehouse Management System (e.g.

Plex)

• Minimum of 35 years warehouse / distribution centre experience
• Forklift Certified
• Must be able to operate a sitdown forklift and reach truck
• Must be able to regularly lift 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs

From $50,000.00 per year
