Your role at Clorox:


The Plant Quality Supervisor will oversee the activity of the quality assurance department and staff, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organization's products and/or development processes.

The Plant Quality Supervisor helps develop and safeguard quality standards in the production of Brita products. Responsible for managing staff, overseeing production processes, analyzing data, and developing strategies or policies for higher quality.

This position will manage 2 direct and 4 indirect reports.


In this role, you will:

  • Ownership of site quality including tracking critical control attributes and ensuring appropriate level of quality checks are completed to meet product capability and DPMO targets.
  • Act as the single point of contact for all Brita plant quality issues and concerns. Work directly with Supply Chain, R&D, Marketing and Sales to improve quality processes, systems and tools.
  • Provide leadership & guidance to two fulltime QA technicians as well as four backup QA technicians to ensure proper ongoing testing to meet critical quality control plan.
  • Ensure technicians follow proper test methodology and meet required ongoing certification and test method validation. Own technicians annual training and validation plan.
  • Quality Management System Support
  • Develop and maintain an eQMS to effectively and efficiently meet corporate, business, and regulatory requirements while driving a culture of quality across the entire organization. Ensures all documents/records are effectively managed and controlled and audit ready at all times.
  • Operations Support
  • Ensure all products meet quality and regulatory requirements and are released on a timely basis to meet business needs.
  • Monitor supplier performance & implement appropriate quality notifications, administer holds/releases physically & in SAP.
  • Engage plant staff to respond to process or material quality issues. Quickly lead resolution of issues thru root cause analysis. Then initiate improvement or action plans to mitigate future losses.
  • Lead R&D trials and new product initiatives in the plant. Lead and organize meetings. Write SOP's, Job Aids & other quality documentation.
  • Ensure product & plant conforms to all Clorox & regulatory requirements (NSF & WQA audits).
  • GMP, Hygiene & Sanitation, Environmental Monitoring & Clorox Global Quality Assurance audit ownership.
  • Appropriate follow up on consumer complaints as directed by Global Quality Assurance.
  • Prepare & analyze key metrics including capability reports, quality scorecards (Monthly & Quarterly) etc. Lead quality pillar.
  • Manage lab equipment needs in materials, repairs & calibration.
  • Participates in improvement and other IM initiatives.
  • Own and manage quality department budget.

What we look for:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing plant quality position.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisory/ leadership role.
  • Good problem solving & troubleshooting skills with experience in six sigma or other analytical root cause analysis tool.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Through knowledge of SPC.
  • Strong oral, presentation & written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills well versed in SAP (strong desire), eQMS software & Microsoft.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new software and systems and help drive change with Manufacturing Execution System.
  • Proven leadership and collaboration skills. In addition to strong interpersonal skills.
