Description

The Logistics Coordinator oversees and enhances logistics and delivery operations to ensure their efficiency and profitability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze and improve transportation processes, manage the transportation team, implement and monitor profitability tools, ensure punctual and quality deliveries
• Manage equipment purchases, negotiate with suppliers, comply with import/export regulations, and adopt new technologies for better tracking and planning
• Supervise the transportation department staff, facilitate training on new systems
• Ensure trucks are tracked and deliveries are monitored, and coordinate with other departments for smooth operations
• Maintain high-quality deliveries and optimize resource utilization
• Prepare various analyses and reports as needed

• Proven experience in logistics and transportation management, with a strong background in implementing efficiency and profitability strategies
• Ability to design and manage profitability tools, and a keen sense of strategic equipment purchasing
• Strong negotiation skills to deal with logistics suppliers
• Knowledge of import/export regulations and transportation policies
• Experience with modern tracking, monitoring, and planning technologies
• Good leadership level, with experience supervising teams
• Teamwork and collaboration
• Ability to make strategic decisions in the absence of department heads and to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Familiarity with delivery management tools like DataNova and Signaflex is an asset
