    Description

    The Data Engineer IV will play a critical role in designing, building, and managing scalable data pipelines and infrastructure in Microsoft Azure. This senior-level role combines hands-on data engineering with leadership of agile development processes, contributing to enterprise data modernization and analytics initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop batch and real-time data pipelines using Microsoft Azure PaaS services.
    • Lead agile software development processes including roadmap planning, sprint coordination, code reviews, and design sign-offs.
    • Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and enterprise-compliant technical solutions.
    • Design and build modern data platforms using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Data Lake, and related services.
    • Develop and maintain data warehouse architectures, schemas, and both relational and non-relational databases.
    • Expose data through APIs or visualization platforms such as Power BI and Azure API Apps.
    • Mentor junior team members and lead knowledge-sharing efforts across teams.
    • Proactively identify architectural improvements to enhance scalability, performance, and reliability.
    Required Qualifications
    • 8–10 years of experience in data engineering, with strong focus on Azure cloud technologies.
    • Proficiency in ETL processes and automation using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and PySpark.
    • Deep experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Databases, and other Azure services.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.
    • Working knowledge of Power BI or similar BI tools.
    • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
    • Proven ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a team-oriented environment.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience in architecting enterprise-grade data platforms.
    • Understanding of data governance and security in the Azure ecosystem.
    • Knowledge of building APIs or services for data access.
    Certifications
    • Azure Data Engineer Associate (optional but preferred)
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect (optional)
    Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (required)
