As an
Industry Trainer – Security/Intelligence
, you'll play a vital role in supporting learners to successfully complete intelligence-related qualifications. Using your subject matter expertise and learner-centred approach, you'll guide, coach and assess learners while providing strong pastoral care and cohort support. This role is central to learner success and helps build confident, capable graduates ready for further training or employment in intelligence-related fields.
Job Description
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and supporting multiple cohorts of Intelligence Level 3/Security Level 3 learners
- Monitoring learner engagement, attendance, wellbeing and progression
- Providing structured pastoral care, including onboarding and regular check-ins
- Facilitating cohort-based learning sessions and supporting assessment understanding
- Responding to learner queries in a timely, supportive manner
- Marking assessments in line with quality and programme requirements
- Providing clear, constructive feedback to support learner development
- Maintaining accurate learner, assessment and progress records
- Contributing to reporting, moderation and quality assurance requirements
Desired Skills And Experience
You will bring:
- A minimum Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in intelligence, security, analysis or a related field
- Unit Standard 4098 (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in Security and/or Intelligence
- Experience in learner support, training, education or a similar environment
- Strong organisation skills and ability to manage multiple cohorts
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
- A learner-focused mindset with strong pastoral care capability
