Social Impact Specialist (12-month contract)

Are you organized and have a passion for project management? Are you fascinated by corporate social responsibility, and want to make a difference in the world?

We practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative and social purposes.

Make a difference on our communications team as a Social Impact Specialist

What you'll do:

Lead the planning and tactical execution of social impact events, including control of budget, event planning, and relationship management with external partners
Support stores and corporate teams by providing counsel on how to engage in their local communities through donations and employee volunteerism
Collaborate with the team and support the execution of Best Buy's social impact national initiatives including grants, scholarships, and ongoing community programs
Identify opportunities to promote social impact initiatives through internal, PR, social media and marketing channels to build awareness and drive employee engagement
Measure the impact of your programs
Work closely with key stakeholders to execute major campaigns and ad hoc donation requests and events

What we're looking for:

4+ years of communications or project management experience in a deadline driven, multi

- stakeholder, fast paced environment

Business experience, collaborating with multiple stakeholders
Leadership and people management experience
Event planning and budget management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation skills
