Working Arrangement

Global Operations Risk and Control team supports the management of operational risk by embedding robust risk culture through talent, metrics, and data across the operations function globally.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Compile reports and data from Segment Record Officers, vendors, and other sources to supervise progress on Global RIM initiatives in support of Global RIM Policy for RIM Steering Committee and other partners.
- Manage the Global RIM Retention Schedule and Record Codes by partnering with Compliance, Legal, Operations and Risk partners to ensure alignment with relevant legislations, regulations, and citations that mandate retention terms for Manulife business records.
- Provide support to the Global RIM CoE Lead in establishing RIM Standards across the organization that reflect the appropriate management of the lifecycle of a record.
- Establish and implement RIM change management strategy (e.g. communication) to drive Records Management education, project priorities, RIM accountability, and employee engagement
- Design, implement and coordinate record systems and related information services, to support efficient access, movement, updating, storage, retention and disposal of files and other organizational records.
- Develop records cataloging, coding and classification systems and supervising their use.
- Complete governance and quality assurance that align with internal and external audit standards and to validate control frameworks, such as records destruction, record holds and record creations are working appropriately.
- Project manage execution on CoE Initiatives, as agreed upon in the strategic roadmap.
Job Requirements:
- 35 years proven experience in records management and/or project management.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, library science, business management, business administration or data analysis.
- Strong organization, analysis, administration, interpersonal skills, along with keen attention to detail and problemsolving capabilities.
- An understanding of Manulife lines of business, various global functions and interpersonal framework
- Strong technical knowledge (database schemas, system integrations, etc.) pertaining to electronic records creation, records hold, access, storage, destruction, archiving and tracking.
Proficiencies:
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the integrity and confidence to liaise with executives and senior management
- Strong program and project management skills and ability to independently manage multiple, conflicting priorities and deliver a quality result within tight deadlines
- Proven leadership experience and demonstrated ability to forge consensus of diverging views from cross functional partners
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills with the ability to interpret sophisticated data and make datadriven strategic recommendations
