Summary:

DMC is currently looking for a Project Geologist to join our team on a fulltime contract basis, based in our Sudbury, ON location.

The Jnr Geologist will be responsible for supporting the project by providing geological and geotechnical expertise.

Responsibilities:

Plan, direct, and participate in geological, drilling, and geological testing programs.
Perform drafting using AutoCad and other specialised software.
Plan, direct and participate in analysis of drill reports, well logs and other test results, maps, notes and cross sections.
Carry out geotechnical reports, field inspections and proposals.
Access structural geology and geological features.
Identify and advise on anticipated geological risks.
Advise and develop methods to mitigate against geological risk.
Interface with operations to ensure the EHS of personnel.
Conduct ground support inspections against the ground control plan

Qualifications:

Requires working physically outdoors.
3+ years of experience in geological/geotechnical field investigations or similar role.
Experience preparing work plans and reports.
Strong ability to communicate technical issues.
Bachelor's degree in Geology, Civil Engineering, or related field.
