    Reporting to the Senior Manager FP&A Nitrogen, this position will be primarily responsible for partnering with the Carseland Site Leadership team and working collaboratively to provide financial inputs and thought leadership to monitor key business activities. In addition, this role will have the opportunity to learn and contribute to Corporate Nitrogen FP&A activities.

    What you will do:

  • Partner with business and provide financial acumen to site decisions
  • Provide leadership recommendations and alternatives to optimize results
  • Provide analysis and financial oversight to guide decisions that are aligned with the business strategy for both the short-term and long-term
  • Responsible for preparation of the annual operating budget and monthly operating forecasts and assist in the preparation of the annual capital budget
  • Develop and review key inputs to 5 year strategic plan process
  • Analyze, interpret, and provide forward looking information to present to the senior leadership team for decision making
  • Review costs, improve visibility and analysis of cost drivers, identify trends and implications of current costs on future costs, and provide this information to site personnel in a timely manner
  • Drive accountability to targets through cost reviews meeting with cost center owners
  • Provide thought leadership for continuous improvement ideas, and provide analysis and verification of results for ongoing initiatives
  • Improve the quality and availability of data and business information, making key financial data readily available to leaders across the Business Unit
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis for various stakeholders
  • Corporate Nitrogen FP&A
  • Support Nitrogen FP&A by providing ongoing financial analysis to support the business including but not limited to Nitrogen EBITDA, production costs, inventory and Nitrogen balance sheet accounts
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis for various stakeholders
  • What you will bring:

  • Post-secondary degree in Finance or Accounting with a minimum 8+ years post-qualification experience in a related field
  • Professional accounting or finance designation preferred
  • Reputation as a valued and trusted business partner
  • Excellent MS Office skills including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Exceptional analytical acumen with capacity to identify, scope and solve complex problems
  • Background in business partnering with a strong desire to add value to the business, as well as a mindset for continuous improvement
