Description

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Material Handler at our production manufacturing facility located in Newmarket, Ontario.

Major Areas of Responsibilities

Duties to include:

Operate Forklift and bed movers (certification required)
Complete daily circle checks and report to maintenance/management any concerns
Responsible for upkeep of forklift, and will be held accountable for damage to the forklift, bed movers and materials handled bulk coils etc.
Warehousing of goods received, coils, boxes, etc. used for production
Distributing raw materials to production lines in a timely fashion
Inventory/ cycle counts on a monthly basis as requested
Maintaining a clean and organized work area
Providing additional support to other departments in slow periods as required
Weigh Coil & documentation
Moving of all finished product to shipping areas
Depositing of metal scrap in appropriate bins from production
Steel and Aluminum
Accountable for proper stock rotation of all coils/materials used for production. Oldest used first
Safe stacking of all bulk coils for storage
Other tasks that may be assigned when required

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills, professional attitude
Excellent organizational / time management skills
Strong attention to detail and good problemsolving skills
Must possess strong forklift skills, and work meticulously in a fastpaced environment
Thrives in a fastpaced and sometimes stressful environment
Able to be flexible/adaptable to changing needs of the department
Must be capable of heavy lifting (up to 22 kgs independently)
Must adhere to health & safety policies and procedures at all times

Salary:
$17.00-$24.00 per hour
