    An exciting career opportunity is currently available for a Project Engineer. Join a team that implements and commissions Advanced Solution projects, primarily focusing on Honeywell's Workforce Competency Process Training Simulator applications. Develop dynamic process models for use in training systems and engineering studies. Interact with various internal and 3rd party teams to coordinate and execute tasks and projects. Contribute your expertise in the areas of DCS (Experion/TPS), information systems, networking, operator interface, and alarm management. The successful candidate must be capable of working in an ISO environment and demonstrate a willingness to practice Six Sigma methodologies. Involves travel 25% of the time.

    Use your strategic thinking to help anticipate problems, recognize, and eliminate barriers
    Lead and maintain an optimized program management operating system for specific business segment programs. Bring the best global thinking to your own organization and region to understand technology and management concepts required for Honeywell products and processes.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Implementation of applications as per design and requirement specification within budgeted time and cost constraints.
    • Create Project Documentation like Functional Design Specifications, Acceptance Test Procedures, As-Built document, etc.
    • Provide Training to End users on use of the deployed applications.
    • Troubleshoot issues during project implementation and seek assistance as required in finding a solution.
    • Maintain high level of customer satisfaction.
    • Lead Technical discussions with customers on Implementation, Configuration and Architecture choices.
    • Shares technical knowledge with the team, supervisor, and other disciplines
    • Provide consulting support and product Demo's to customers
    • Support Proposal and Estimation when required

    YOU MUST HAVE

    • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering
    • 10 or more years of experience in the process industry (E.G. refining, petrochemicals, chemicals)
    • 5 or more years of experience in dynamic simulation (UniSim & HYSYS preferred)
    • 10 or more years of Engineering experience
    • Ability to travel throughout Canada and US 20% of the time.
    • Valid G Driver's License and driving record acceptable to Honeywell.


    WE VALUE

    • Exposure to Honeywell's Advanced Solutions applications or equivalent is an asset
    • Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) particularly Experion and/or TPS is an asset
    • Experience in Refinery Operations, Process Control, Business Applications
    • Strong communication skills
    • Strong Windows networking/security skills
