Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Home Care Companion to provide direct client care and support within established standards of care, policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will be able to assist clients in maintaining optimum health and independence for as long as safely possible in their home environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate respect for client independence, dignity, privacy, and lifestyle at all times.


• Support clients' independence in activities of daily living, as assessed by the Case Coordinator.


• Promote knowledge of safety and sanitation practices including guidelines for hand washing. Report any concerns or skill deficits to the Supervisor.


lieffectively utilize electronic programs related to job responsibilities,
iassists with meal preparation using nutritionally balanced diets (Canada Food Guide) or specific client needs,
itroduces organization skills according work assignments from Service Requests,
identify changes in the client status/home environment reporting immediately via Incident Reporting System -as required-
take an active role participating meetings/conferences engaged towards shared goals:
