ROLE


The role of District Sales Manager is to give people (our customers) the opportunity to perform better The Mirka slogan,

This position will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and growing the customer base for the Industrial sector in GTA West.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager
  • GTA West for Mirka Canada. Close cooperation with the District Sales Manager in the Industrial sector and the field sales team will be critical for success.
  • The primary duty of the District Sales Manager is to create & develop new & existing business opportunities.
  • Responsible for expanding the key accounts and developing new business within GTA West by making outside sales visits within a designated geographical area while strengthening the company's position or market share within the territory.
  • The District Sales Manager will assist to develop and conduct training programs for end users, national distribution, and their field sales representatives. Additionally, the District Sales Manager will be responsible for reaching or exceeding company sales objectives in focused area based on our corporate strategy.
  • Develop, analyze, and manage business plans related to your dedicated customer database to effectively maintain and grow sales.
  • Presentation, sales, and training of our innovative products / services at the customer site.
  • Negotiate longterm contracts.
  • Work closely with marketing, logistics and customer service.
  • Collaborate with management in the creation of the marketing plan, planning, and strategic direction of the company's business development.
  • Maintain uptodate information in our CRM system.
  • Assist and evaluate new products for the addition and introduction into our product offering.
  • Identify product development opportunities to sales & marketing groups.

Qualifications and Competencies (education, experience, skills)

  • To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 35 years of abrasive industry or related experience.
  • Previous experience of preparing professional sales presentations and quotes for customers.
  • Experience and understanding of relevant industry standards.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills (MS Office) as well as a valid driving license enjoy being mobile (80% willingness to travel, mainly locally) 20% home office.
  • Ability to thrive both independently and in a team environment, fast learner.
  • Experience in development and conducting training of others
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to conduct research and build/execute strategy.
  • Excellent time and territory management skills.
  • Ability to develop and nurture executive level contacts and/or extensive network in the industries.

Physical Demand/Work Environment

  • Must be able to walk on construction projects/garages, climb ladders and scaffolding, and able to lift and carry as much as 50 pounds._

Salary:
$75,000.00-$87,500.00 per year
