Imperial Dade Canada, leading national distributor, has a job open in Edmonton. The Receiving Distribution Assistant performs distribution and receiving administrative duties and tasks.

This role will ensure accuracy of the information in the computer system and is responsible for reports and file maintenance.

Working hours - 8:00am to 4:00pm - Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:


Receiving:

  • Book carrier and container inbound appointments in appointment system.
  • Schedule receiving / carrier swamping services as required.
  • Manage over / short and damage claims and process with carriers and vendors.
  • Print receiving documents and prepare for receivers.
  • Manage daily issues encountered with receivers.
  • Ensure internal and external customer satisfaction through prompt and efficient service.
  • Light receiving as required
  • Update and maintain document and computer files.
  • Administrative tasks in correlation with the department and business requirements.
  • Perform receiving related clerical duties as requested.
  • Prepare reports as required.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years' administrative experience in a transportation/operations/distribution environment.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Transportation routing experience an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize and organize a constant workflow and to maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and have excellent time management skills.
  • Computer literate with Windows based software programs, Transportation Electronic Log Tracking systems and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
