Reporting to the Director, Operations & Finance, the Inventory Planner will be responsible for analyzing and scheduling inventory requirements for Mississauga location based on customer demand.


NOTE:
This is a fixed term position, position will go to September 30, 2025.


Essential Functions:


  • Analyze inventory on hand against sales backlog and sales forecast, determining the ideal stock levels and ideal product mix.
  • Submit requisitions and purchase orders to manufacturing sites
  • Resolve scheduling problems through coordination with manufacturing, shipping, quality assurance, and customer service
  • Reserve on hand inventory against customer order to meet delivery commitments.
  • Provide insight and support to customer service in support of backlog management and leadtime communication
  • Develop and maintain system to examine metrics for inventory management
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of products and processes to ensure optimum inventory levels are maintained
  • Incorporate new products into the forecast and delivery schedule
  • Establish and maintain, a crossfunctional communication network across the business with an emphasis on realtime interaction to assure product supply meets current customer demand
  • Coordinate weekly meetings with operations team.

Skills Requirements:


  • Working knowledge of relevant ERP functionally including bills of materials and inventory management
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Oracle experience is a strong benefit.
  • The desire, willingness, and ability to work in a fast paced, multitasking environment
  • Must be mathematically inclined, with an analytical aptitude
  • Must be a strong team player, willing to go the extra mile for the customer

Required/Preferred Education and Experience:


  • BA/BS Preferred
  • 35+ years Materials / Inventory Planning experience preferred
