Reporting to the Director, Operations & Finance, the Inventory Planner will be responsible for analyzing and scheduling inventory requirements for Mississauga location based on customer demand.

NOTE:
This is a fixed term position, position will go to September 30, 2025.

Essential Functions:

Analyze inventory on hand against sales backlog and sales forecast, determining the ideal stock levels and ideal product mix.
Submit requisitions and purchase orders to manufacturing sites
Resolve scheduling problems through coordination with manufacturing, shipping, quality assurance, and customer service
Reserve on hand inventory against customer order to meet delivery commitments.
Provide insight and support to customer service in support of backlog management and leadtime communication
Develop and maintain system to examine metrics for inventory management
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of products and processes to ensure optimum inventory levels are maintained
Incorporate new products into the forecast and delivery schedule
Establish and maintain, a crossfunctional communication network across the business with an emphasis on realtime interaction to assure product supply meets current customer demand
Coordinate weekly meetings with operations team.

Skills Requirements:

Working knowledge of relevant ERP functionally including bills of materials and inventory management
Proficient in MS Office.
Oracle experience is a strong benefit.
The desire, willingness, and ability to work in a fast paced, multitasking environment
Must be mathematically inclined, with an analytical aptitude
Must be a strong team player, willing to go the extra mile for the customer

Required/Preferred Education and Experience:

BA/BS Preferred
35+ years Materials / Inventory Planning experience preferred
