Summary:
The Operations Manager is responsible for managing the day-to
- day operations including; people, systems & processes, to ensure deliveries and KPI's are met on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. The Operations Manager assumes overall responsibility of warehouse operations, and is the point-of-contact for any communications directly related to the activity within the warehouse.

They are detail-oriented and organized with a high level of personal and professional ethics. The Warehouse Manager will support the day to day operations in the following areas.Key Responsibilities:
- Floor organization and direction of all moving parts, ensuring proper flow. Overseeing and monitoring of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency
- Ensuring all Joeyco procedures are being followed to company standard and expectations
- Examining, identifying, planning and managing all logistics and warehousing processes or operations which involve ensuring that accurate and complete accounting, reporting, and internal control systems are functioning
- Maintaining order of all warehouse departments; auditing the efficiency & accountability of the lower level management
- Supervising, coaching, and training the warehouse workforce
- Overseeing scheduling; Ensuring adequate amounts of Joeys & Brokers are scheduled per day. Producing a management schedule in a timely manner, (before Thursday of the upcoming week.)
- Ensuring Sorting schedule is posted similarly to management, while factoring budgets and projections based on expectations
- Completion and auditing of the manifest on a daily/weekly basis. Ensuring that all departments are accurately entering data. Ensuring all documents are accurate and updated in compliance
- Management and distribution of payouts; including Joeys, Brokers and warehouse staff. Preparing Payout Reports for Joeys, Brokers and Staff to be sent HQ by allocated deadlines
- Conducting exit interviews/ terminations in a professional manner and upholding to the JoeyCo brand
- Developing and nurturing an environment that fosters teamwork, inclusivity & communication. Setting expectations and standard of company objectives and goals through verbal and written communication (.i.e. Daily shift rallys, etc.)
- Mange sub contractors and staff expectations
- Handle warehouse escalations and conduct quarterly review with the assistant warehouse manager for all employees
- Reviewing the following up with HQ on reports which are being provided, Missing Packages, Joey Complaints, Labour Hours
- Monitor day to day labour costs and labour reports, ensuring all timesheets are accurate
- Maintain contact with Head Office HR to onboard new employees for the warehouse
- Review delivery escalation tickets on CRM with Joey and Brokers
Key Requirements:
- Minimum five (5) years experience in a managerial position in the courier /transportation, distribution industry specifically within operation management.
- Knowledge of transportation laws and regulations of Ontario
- Working knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations
- Intermediate computer skills and ability to learn new programs required
- Excellent communication, written and spoken and presentation skills.
- Excellent time management and task prioritization skills. Able to juggle many tasks at once in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong leadership skills, personable, resourceful & versatile
- Flexibility with scheduling a must
- Work Information: Must be flexible to work various shifts with regularly scheduled hours to be discussed at the time of interviews
Salary:
$60,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Mississauga, ON L5L 6A1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
Warehouse Operations: 5 years (preferred)
- Logistics or Courier industry: 5 years (preferred)
