About the position:

Reporting to the Superintendent, the Carpenter is responsible for framing multi-family construction projects.


Your Duties:

• Participate in and champion the Carrington Construction Canada Safety Program.
• Read, understand and execute blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate measurements needed.
• Competently cut and assemble standard building materials in accordance with blueprints and details.
• Operate telehandler or skidsteer to assist with loading and unloading of materials as required.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware according to best building practices.
• Backing and hoarding.
• General carpentry and quality assurance.
• Other related duties as required.

Your Qualifications:

• Minimum Third (3rd) year apprentice carpenter, preferably with commercial or multifamily construction experience.
• Demonstrate comfort using skidsteer, manlifts and zoombooms.
• Reading and understanding blueprints and basic construction methodologies is required.
• Reliable and punctual work history required.
• Valid drivers license and personal reliable transportation to get to and from work.
• Must be able to reliably commute to Vernon (Predator Ridge).
