Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Mine Supervisor you will be part of the Mobile Maintenance Department. You will be responsible for ensuring optimal equipment availability, by servicing and repairing all light duty equipment in accordance with company standards and design specifications. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Maintain all light duty vehicles and equipment in a reliable and safe operating condition;
- Conduct equipment testing, reporting deficiencies, timely inspections, preventative maintenance service and quality repair of equipment in accordance with work plans and maintenance schedules;
- Liaise with maintenance planning group to maintain inventory of parts leading to optimal equipment availability;
- Develop a strong working relationship with the operations group;
- Prepare electronic service reports and documentation in an accurate and timely manner;
- Maintain a safe, clean and efficient work area;
- Analyze maintenance procedures and make recommendations to improve effectiveness;
- Ensure that safety issues are reported to the supervisor and promptly remedied;
- Promote a positive health, safety and environment culture and the Internal Responsibility System.
What You Need To Succeed
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED;
- Ontario Provincial/ Inter-Provincial (Red Seal) Automotive Service Technician (310S) Certificate or Ontario Provincial/ Inter-Provincial (Red Seal) Truck and Coach Technician (310T) Certificate is considered an asset;
- Minimum five years' experience working on mobile equipment in a mining setting;
- Demonstrated commitment to safe working practices;
- Focused and self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills;
- Experience working at a remote work site is an asset.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 14/14 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine.
- Accommodation and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
