Job Summary:


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules
  • Get aligned with the technical leaders in different projects for scheduling/planning
  • Ensure projects are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
  • Planning the work to be done, communicating with the relevant team members
  • Manage project execution and produce project documentation in a timely manner
  • Coordinating tasks to be accomplished by different people/teams/departments on different projects to ensure uniformity upon project completion
  • Manage project schedule and tasks by utilizing project management tools
  • Ensuring timely completion of the project necessary to build client trust
  • Review projects status with the Director of Program Management and escalate issues that need immediate attention on the right time (risk management)
  • Gather the necessary resources/information that would facilitate the management team's decisionmaking process
  • Understanding the budget to have good estimate of the costs and expenses (not financial management)
  • Clear and effective reporting and communications
  • Take responsibility for documentation and ensuring that product updates are in compliance with the quality management system of GaN Systems
  • Facilitate status reports to ensure senior management/Exec team has a clear understanding of project activities, milestones, deliverable, risks, and overall health of various projects

Required Skills and Experience:


  • Either BsC/MSc of electrical Engineering (fields related to semiconductor devices)
    OR Bachelor of Management Studies or related fields (Project Management, management and Leadership, Applied
  • At least 12 years of experience working in the project/program management in industry

Other Qualifications (Asset/Preferences):


  • Canada work authorization (preferred)
  • Familiarity/previous experience with semiconductor manufacturing and/or power electronic industry.
  • Familiarity/previous experience with project management tools
  • Hold PMP certificate or other relevant PMI certificates
  • Familiar with ISO9001:2015 standards

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong proficiency with computers and all MS Office products, MS Project, or other project management tools
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the field
  • Ability to write concise reports and status updates
  • Professionalism towards internal and external partners with the ability to maintain a positive attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a myriad of demands and prioritize effectively
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Maintains accountability for actions (ownership of work)
  • Extremely reliable with the ability to champion tasks
