Role Description
This is a contract role for a Mechatronics Engineer at Vizva AgroTech in Montreal, QC. The Mechatronics Engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining automation systems in vertical greenhouses. The role involves designing, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems to optimize greenhouse operations.
Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience in Prototyping
- Knowledge of Robotics Software & Systems Integration
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Perform mechanical, pneumatic and electrical assemblies for various equipment and projects.
- Blueprint and electrical schematic reading
- Knowledge of PLC programming
- Proficient with electrical and electronic principles
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for designing automated systems
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronic/Electrical Engineering, Engineering Systems and Computing, Robot Technology or related industry experience
