Do you have a mechanical aptitude? Do you enjoy assembling metal components? The position performs various testing on assembly and sub-assembly operations and correcting any issues that arise.

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):

Assemble fabricated parts/units for Sumitomo gearbox products at floor stations.
Use hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications.
Test units and identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repair as necessary.
Place and retrieve inventory from warehouse shelves.
Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings.
Ability to modify gearbox units to meet order requirements.
Ability to competently use a variety of measuring tools (micrometers, bore gauges, height gauge, etc.).
Quality oriented
Operate hoisting and lifting devices.
Adhering to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances.
Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
5 Years of experience with industrial gearboxes and power transmission products.
Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing principals and 3S.
