We are looking for a Cell Culture Equipment Qualification Agent to support GMP operations at our at our new Clinical Trial Material Facility with the Human Health Therapeutics (HHT) Research Centre.

The Technical Officer would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.


This officer position would appeal to someone who has a passion for working in a controlled laboratory (GMP/GLP) environment, providing their technical support to perform validation of process equipment and contribute to establishing standard operating procedures.

You would demonstrate ability to take direction and follow established procedures, efficiently document experimental and manufacturing activities and results and you enjoy performing laboratory and manufacturing work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.


Screening Criteria:


Education:

Bachelor in Microbiology, Biotechnology or related field.

Collegial diploma combined with relevant and significant experience may be considered.

Experience:


  • Significant experience in preparing and performing technical tasks in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology production laboratory environment according to GMP, preferably related to vaccines and/or biotherapies
  • Experience with validation of upstream culture process equipment (incubator, bioreactor...)
  • Significant experience with aseptic work techniques.
  • Experience with animal cell cultures in suspension in flasks.

  • Good knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements as applied to pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical products
  • Ability to write, review and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), write and manage controlled changes, describe, escalate and report any deviations and write GMP work instructions.
  • Ability to collaborate on validation studies, perform and document testing and write deviations as appropriate.
  • Working knowledge of aseptic work techniques.
  • Knowledge of cell culture and propagation in flasks and bioreactors.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance will be determined in accordance with the NRC's directives.


Compensation:

From $58,445$ to 80,040 per annum.
