Responsibilities:


  • Assemble windows according to specifications and blueprints
  • Measure and cut materials to appropriate sizes
  • Install glass, frames, and hardware
  • Ensure that assembled windows meet quality standards
  • Operate machinery and tools safely
  • Communicate with team members to ensure efficient production
  • Assemble doors according to specifications and blueprints
  • Cut, shape, and trim wood and other materials to fit door frames
  • Install hardware such as hinges, locks, and handles onto doors
  • Ensure doors meet quality standards and make necessary adjustments as needed
  • Utilize hand and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals

Requirements:


  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Experience in operating hand and power tools, such as drills, saws, and screwdrivers
  • Physical dexterity and ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing highquality work
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to follow them at all times
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and processes
  • Previous experience in door assembly or carpentry
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools used in door assembly
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure precise measurements and cuts
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy objects for extended periods of time
  • Good communication skills to work collaboratively with other assemblers and team members
  • Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime when needed

Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • North York, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
