Terratek Energy is seeking a qualified Solar PV Journeyman with a passion for clean energy to join our team.

This position requires a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual to work on installations for a variety of solar and solar plus storage projects that are central to Terratek Energy's business.

Responsibilities Include:

Installation of PV Modules and DC runs.
Installation of PV Balance of Systems and AC runs.
Lifting and transporting solar panels and other materials.
Installation of Battery Backup systems (Tesla).
Installation of EV car charger installations for commercial and residential projects.
Installation of Conduit and Building/ MC Cabling.
Commercial and Residential Panel Work.
Installation of Transformers and Inverters.
Working off plans to complete designed installation.
Attention to detail when completing all tasks.
Capable of working in a safe and efficient manner outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions.
Provides exceptional customer service to all clients throughout the installation process and communicates well with colleagues.
Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Qualifications:

Apprentices are ITA registered and completed at least Level 1 technical training from a recognised electrical foundational program.
Experience in residential and commercial electrical, construction or roofing systems is an asset.
Good understanding of the safe use of handheld and power tools.
Basic understanding of photovoltaic systems and electrical components an asset.
Passionate and openminded about the solar industry.
Ability to work meticulously in both independent and collaborative settings.
Ability to safely lift and carry materials 50lbs and over on a frequent and repetitive basis.
Comfortable with heights.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Solar training is a plus.
Leadership skills and experience managing a small crew an asset.
