Batch Maker / Chemical Blender / Chemical Compounder / Chemical Batch Processor

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:


  • As a Batch Maker you will be responsible to manufacturing products in accordance to predefined procedures and instructions following health and safety guidelines.

Batch Making/Blending

  • Physically handing the transfer of bulk chemicals, liquid solid and powder from pails, bags or drums.
  • Accurately measuring and calculating chemical additions.
  • Monitor assigned batches during processing to ensure adherence to specifications and make adjustments as needed to maintain specifications.
  • Ensure the completion of jobs meeting quality and quantity requirements.
  • Cleaning/rinsing mixer and tanks.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records and documents, etc.
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations including department and housekeeping standards.
  • Strict attention to detail at all times (following procedures, documentation, equipment usage, chemical handling and storage.
  • Ensure all equipment, tools, and work stations are in good working order and free of any safety hazards.
  • Wear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.

Packaging

  • Physical filling of pails and drums ~upto 60 lbs
  • Accurately weighting of pails and drums.
  • Ensure proper labeling are affixed to all packaging.
  • Documentation is forwarded to correct department.

Required Skills:


  • Must be able to read, understand and legibly write in English.
  • Experience in Chemical Manufacturing Environment.
  • 2 years of Chemical blending (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Able to read and comprehend batch cards instructions and specifications.
  • Able to communicate effectively with other employees.
  • Able to solve practical problems.
  • Team player stays to get the job done.
  • Employee must continually lift and /or move up to 60lbs.
  • Current forklift certification would be an asset

Wages:
- $20 for the first 3 months.
- $21 from 3 to 6 months.
- $22 from 6 to 9 months. At six month become eligible to join group benefit package
- $23 from 9 to 12 months.
