Our busy downtown Cobourg Optometric office is looking to fill a full-time position.

We are a family-oriented practice and focus on providing a quality experience for our patients in a comfortable, caring environment.

We offer a full spectrum of optometric care including full eye examinations, contact lens fittings, visual field testing, OCT, fundus photography, and an optical dispensary.

The hours for our office are Monday to Thursday 8:00-5:30 and Fridays from 8:30 to 3:00.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting patients in selection of frames and lenses to suit patients' aesthetic and performance needs and take necessary measurements
• Entering eyeglass and contact lens orders in our electronic medical records software
• Verifying prescription eyeglasses and notifying patients when eyewear is ready.
• Dispensing, adjusting, and repairing patient eyewear
• Instructing patients on proper eyewear use and care of new eyeglass lenses
• Troubleshooting patient concerns in a professional and courteous manner
• Bookkeeping and account management
• Inventory management
• General reception/front desk duties including scheduling appointments, invoicing, answering phone calls, etc.
• Pretesting patients (OCT, Humphrey Visual Fields, Lensometry)
• Maintaining the general appearance of the dispensary and reception area
• Providing exceptional customer service

Compensation is based on experience and skill set.


Salary:
$17.00-$19.00 per hour
