    Arcadis is currently seeking a Contract Administrator to join our Mobility Global Business Area (GBA) in our Toronto West Office. The Contract Administrator has a proven track record for managing, interpreting, and executing contracts. The Contract Administrator also has technical knowledge of OPSS standards, specifications and practices related to the management of construction activities. This includes preparation of change orders, site instructions, claims review and work directives for all work that is not covered in the contract documentation.

    Working with a team including field inspectors and project coordinators the Contract Administrator will monitor construction to ensure compliance with contract requirements and follow the projects QA procedures. You will check inspection and test plans prior to work taking place. You will Issue designer's site Instructions for any changes to design and respond to requests for information from the contractor to provide clarity and direction. The Contract Administrator will also assist in review of shop drawings, check compliance with the quality plan processes and procedures and monitor the works to check compliance with the specification, drawings and method statements, and issue Non-Conformance Reports when required.

    Your role will also be responsible for chairing meetings, issue minutes of meeting and prepare various reports. You will be mobile in the GTA working hybrid in the office and on site as required.

    Qualifications


    Role Accountabilities:

    • Must be able to read and understand construction contract documents.
    • Minimum successful completion of three-year college program in a relevant engineering technology discipline, or the equivalent, combined with several years of directly related experience in large, multi-discipline, heavy construction projects.
    • Registration with Professional Engineers Ontario as a P.Eng. or the ability to be registered
    • Five years Construction and/or Design coordination experience on large linear infrastructure projects is the expected minimum.
    • Experience in Design Build/P3 is an asset.
    • Proven analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
    • Knowledge and skill in interpreting and applying transportation construction practices; procedures and quality assurance techniques.
    • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and be able to independently write reports and correspondence.
    • Ability to organize, prioritize and schedule work.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
