Job Summary:


You are an Apprentice / Journeyperson Carpenter with heavy civil experience seeking a competitive wage, benefits, and a company who prides themselves on safety.

You will be an integral part of the Ledcor team working on a high-profile infrastructure project in Kitimat
Essential Responsibilities:


  • Comprehend drawings to prepare layouts including selecting materials, planning sequences and methods of work, and measuring and marking materials to avoid costly mistakes or omissions
  • Understand concrete forming and engineered forming systems to accurately build concrete forms
  • Check completed units to be sure they are level, square, plumb, and the right size, shape, and location
  • Skilled with traditional and Doka formwork
  • Ensures that work is completed within deadlines

Qualifications:


  • Must be a registered apprentice or hold a journeyperson Carpenter certification from a recognized provincial training authority
  • Nonticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial carpentry trade
  • CSTS, WHMIS, Bear Awareness, Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform and Confined Space (training may be provided)
  • Must successfully complete preaccess drug and alcohol testing
  • Prior bridge construction project experience is highly regarded

Work Conditions:


  • Experienced applicants that reside in Kitimat, BC or surrounding areas will be given preference due to the location of this project
  • 14 days on/7 days off rotation working 10 hours per day
  • Flights from approved locations
  • Benefits provided by CLAC
  • Work will be outdoors in rough terrain and occasionally under extreme weather conditions
