Job Summary:

You are an Apprentice / Journeyperson Carpenter with heavy civil experience seeking a competitive wage, benefits, and a company who prides themselves on safety.

You will be an integral part of the Ledcor team working on a high-profile infrastructure project in Kitimat
Essential Responsibilities:

Comprehend drawings to prepare layouts including selecting materials, planning sequences and methods of work, and measuring and marking materials to avoid costly mistakes or omissions
Understand concrete forming and engineered forming systems to accurately build concrete forms
Check completed units to be sure they are level, square, plumb, and the right size, shape, and location
Skilled with traditional and Doka formwork
Ensures that work is completed within deadlines

Qualifications:

Must be a registered apprentice or hold a journeyperson Carpenter certification from a recognized provincial training authority
Nonticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial carpentry trade
CSTS, WHMIS, Bear Awareness, Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform and Confined Space (training may be provided)
Must successfully complete preaccess drug and alcohol testing
Prior bridge construction project experience is highly regarded

Work Conditions:

Experienced applicants that reside in Kitimat, BC or surrounding areas will be given preference due to the location of this project
14 days on/7 days off rotation working 10 hours per day
Flights from approved locations
Benefits provided by CLAC
Work will be outdoors in rough terrain and occasionally under extreme weather conditions
