What do you offer?


The Coordinator, Marketing and Communications reports to the Director, Marketing, Communications, and Philanthropy, and provides support for the planning, implementation and coordination of marketing and communications strategies.


Some of the tasks of this position include:

  • Experience writing, creating and executing engaging social media/marketing content (including video editing/creation).
  • Deep familiarity with social media strategy
  • Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok
  • Experienced and competent in general writing skills
  • Copywriting, internal/external communications, Press Release writing is also desirable.
  • Experience in creation of online surveys and management of online survey tools like Survey Monkey.
  • Works with marketing director, and other senior directors to maintain budgets on projects.
  • Helps ensure the Association's collateral digital and printed materials
- respect the integrity of the Association's communication standards.


What qualifications and abilities are we looking for?

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations preferred

Language

  • Fluent in English, oral and written
  • French is considered an asset

Experience, Skills and Abilities

  • A minimum of three years' experience in marketing and/or communications, preferably in the notforprofit sector.
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and implementation of marketing and communications strategies.
  • Very familiar with website development/design and web content management.
  • A strong customer service orientation is required so that clients/members/volunteers feel valued and understood.
  • Strong familiarity with social media analytics.
  • Ensures Y brand compliance is correct on all marketing materials.
  • The Coordinator, Marketing and Communications must work effectively with members, volunteers and staff.
  • Commitment to working as part of a team, and with many departments managing multiple projects at a time.

Additional Requirements:


  • Applicants must already have a valid permit to work in Canada.
  • Annually all staff must complete the mandatory training for the Protecting Children,
