Interested in leading the transition to a clean energy future in North America? We have an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and growing team as a Communications & Design Coordinator for an 18-month contract position.
As the Communications & Design Coordinator, you will need to be well-versed in Adobe Creative Suite and digital content creation, have working knowledge of Microsoft Office - and have an eye for detail and a curiosity for learning new skills.
Key areas of responsibilities:
- Ideate/design digital and print pieces in accordance with brand guidelines
- Create digital and print templates, along with basic animations and videos
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet all project/submission deadlines
- Collaborate with various crossfunctional team members to articulate and execute designs
- Understand and interpret highlevel business and commercial concepts/objectives to develop suitable creative graphics for internal or stakeholderfacing documents and presentations
- Assist with the design, development, and ongoing updating of corporate websites
Required Knowledge and Experience
- Undergraduate degree preferably communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or a design diploma, or a combination of equivalent education and experience
- Minimum 5 years of related professional experience in an agency or inhouse communications and design environment
- Demonstrated firsthand experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Express, Premier Pro)
- Frontend website design and development experience
- A portfolio that demonstrates strong aesthetics, design principles, and design thinking for both digital and print collateral
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to express complex, technical concepts in audienceappropriate terms
- Experience project managing and delivering comprehensive corporate documents or reports (i.e. Annual, Sustainability Reports)
- Trained eye for detail, colour, typography, and layout
- An ability to thrive in fastpaced environments, tight deadlines, and highpressure situations
- Demonstrated understanding of the renewable energy sector, best practices in community engagement and consultation, and the energy transition generally will be considered an asset
