Summary


The Repair Planner's primary responsibility and accountability includes providing an exceptional and successful customer experience while consistently completing accurate collision appraisals of the repair plan for insurance and customer vehicles.

The Repair Planner plays a pivotal role in the success of the customer's experience by ensuring each appraisal accurately outlines the required repairs to ensure a profitable and quality repair while working in alignment with all team members in a achieving the repair facilities KPIs.

The Repair Planner is committed to being a dedicated Brand Ambassador of Assured Automotive at all times.

Role and Requirements

  • Accurate diagnosis of the collision damage including structural and mechanical damage
  • Accurate diagnosis of refinishing operations
  • Communicate all customer requests and needs to appropriate team members
  • Provides positive energy when greeting customers in person and on the phone
  • Communicate directly with technician throughout the repairs
  • Ensure photo quality and estimate is uploaded as per Assured and Insurance Standards
  • Document and communicate service problems related to delays
  • Order parts & arrange sublet repairs with vendors when required for each RO
  • Complete appraisals and supplements as required within 24hours of delivery
  • Ensure proper work flow throughout the collision center with production supervisor
  • Communicate clearly the repair process, and address all questions to ensure client's confidence
  • Adhere to all required Insurance procedures, guidelines and programs
  • Utilize daily insurance programs & tools (Progi/ APU/ ARMS/ Progi Sync)
  • Work with the production supervisor on any repair related concerns or supplements
  • Communicate updates with customers and insurance claims adjusters as required
  • Communicate and negotiate with insurance claims appraisers and image desk staff
  • Proper file documentation in Management Information Systems (MIS)
  • Assign body technician(s) to specific jobs as required
  • Manage all final quality inspection on each vehicle prior to delivery
  • Daily balancing and blueprinting of the appraisals in MIS for file closing
  • Participate in vehicle delivery process as required
  • Support all team members when required
  • Participate in monthly Health & Safety and staff meeting (if required)
  • Attend training, information sessions and workshops recommended by Store Manager

  • Participate in daily production meeting with the Management Team, as required

Work Tools to be Utilized

  • Estimating: Mitchell Connect, Qapter
  • Parts sourcing: Carpart, Progi, APU, Collision Link
Experience and Skills Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years previous experience of a collision repair estimating or a similar role
  • Comprehensive knowledge of estimating program Audatex, Mitchell‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to interpret work scope from vehicle estimates or work orders
  • Comprehensive knowledge of vehicle repair practices
  • Customer Service Oriented and strong organizational skills
  • I-Car Registered (working towards Gold Class certification)
  • Effectively work in a fastpaced environment, demonstrating multitasking ability while working under pressure

Pay:
$55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
