Description
Machinist operates, adjusts and sets-up any conventional lathe, milling, drill press and other machines, tools to cut or grind metal or other materials to make or modify parts or products with precise dimensions.
Shall be able to read and understand drawings, blueprints, designs, sketches, technical data, charts and tables, manufacturing outlines, instructions, formulas or processing charts.
Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements, sharpening and replacing worn tools.
Have knowledge of metric and imperial system.Education:
machinist trade diploma issued or recognised by government agencies
Experience:
minimum two (2) years hands on
Working conditions:
fast pace, attention to detail, manual dexterity, hand and eye coordination, distinguish colours (not colour blind), standing for long periods, physically demanding; weight handling up to 20 LB, etc.
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Pay:
$23.00-$29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 42.50 per week
