Description

The Experienced Geotechnical Drilling Helper (Lead Hand) is ready to take the next step in their drilling career. Wage offered will be based on applicant experience and driver's license held. Class 1 or 3 (w/ airbrake endorsement) holders will receive higher compensation.

You will be expected to perform activities including but not limited to:

• Assisting driller with drill operation, coordination of site activities such as site setup & cleanup, equipment operation, instrument installs and equipment maintenance
• Following safe work practices at all times
• Assisting the driller in supervising and training drill helpers through onthejob training
• Working closely with the client providing samples or other assistance as required
• Communicating with the client during fieldwork (i.e., instrumentation installs)

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in the drilling industry (i.e., Driller's assistant/helper)
• Or relevant industrial/construction work experience might be acceptable
• Valid driver's license (class 5 minimum) holder with a clean abstract
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work 12 hour shifts out of town for as long as 3 weeks at a time
• Ability to work outdoors yearround, performing hard manual labour (able to lift lbs.)
• Strong work ethic
• Mechanical ability an asset

Salary:
$24.00-$28.00 per hour
