ROLE:


The Residential Construction Lead is responsible for the smooth and safe operation of his/her crew in the absence of the immediate crew foreperson.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Perform a wide variety of skilled construction activity.
  • Work cooperatively with supervisors, crew members and subcontractors.
  • Address technical and organizational issues on site.
  • Serve as a Lead Hand to Labourers in the absence of a Foreperson or Superintendent.
  • Attend and participate in safety meetings.
  • Note: In addition to these duties personnel are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required in order to support the objectives of the company._

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:


  • Qualifications_
  • Various safety tickets/certificates as required depending on project.
  • Experience_
  • Previous 10+ years of experience as a Labourer in the residential construction industry.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role is considered an asset.
  • Skills and Knowledge_
  • Knowledge of residential construction industry is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures.
  • Knowledge of handling hazardous materials and industry waste.
  • Good vision and handeye coordination.
  • Physically able to lift and handle heavy objects.
  • Manual dexterity.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

The Residential Construction Lead reports to the Foreperson of his/her crew. The position provides guidance to labourers on his/her crew.

Salary:
$28.00-$35.00 per hour
