Training Specialist - London, Ontario

Job summary
Conduct training needs analysis to identify knowledge and skill gaps Collaborate to develop solutions to knowledge/skill gaps that consider learner persona objectives business constraints and available resources Assist in the implementation of standard work practices by collaborating with plant leaders to develop the plant's operator training and assessment processes Provide on floor coaching to reinforce training concepts to workers and supervisors Work closely with external vendors in developing internal technical expertise for technical support of integrated systems Build and maintain relationships with external training vendors acting as the primary point of contact for training support needs Capture detailed insights provided by external vendors during training sessions Create and review course assessments / evaluations validations creative feedback improvement for continued success Design and develop multimedia content for virtual learning such as photos videos sketches animations interactive presentations quizzes Craft engaging training tools manuals posters presentations self-study guides etc Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of training tools delivery Maintain the training matrix for the plant Onboarding And Orientation Assist in the creation coordination delivery of onboarding orientation programs new hires ensuring smooth effective transition into organization Develop coordinate follow up touchpoints at intervals Lead reviews courses Learning Management System ensure updated Maintain London Knowledge Base technical material Accountable correct entry data Learning Management System managing Groups Adding/Revising Courses updating shared plant computers Engage continuous improvement efforts benchmarking staying up-to-date best practices organizational learning development Report on compliance What You'll Bring To be ideal candidate looking minimum years experience production supporting function or learning & development role working hands-on people Adult certification CTDP Certified Training Development Professional preferred related degrees diplomas desirable As creation documents presentations central role some data analysis proficient MS Office tools Word PowerPoint Excel Prior experience Intertek Alchemy learning tools asset
