Job Description:


The Manager, Centre for Accessible Learning, is responsible for the direction, planning, development and implementation of support services required to meet the needs of applicants and students with disabilities.

In carrying out this responsibility, the Manager must act in a leadership capacity in terms of recommending policies and procedures affecting the College's admissions process, organization, faculty and staff development, and structural design.

The Manager also acts as a change agent, and advocate for students with disabilities to ensure that the College is completely accessible in terms of services, facilities and attitudes.


Required Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in the field of Education, Social work, Psychology, Disabilities Studies or a related field;
  • At least five (5) years of experience related to the delivery of support services to persons with disabilities;
  • Leadership training and experiencing managing a multidisciplinary team;
  • Experience managing a service that utilizes computer software systems, such as Clockwork, Workday and or a student information system;
  • Working knowledge of common disabilities and functional limitations found in a postsecondary student population, assistive technology and Human Rights legislation related to providing academic accommodation in a postsecondary setting.
  • Payband is fulltime admin, payband 1
