Description

Reporting to the Controller, the successful applicant will be responsible for payroll, assist in AP, AR, and general admin support.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Processes bi-weekly salary and hourly payroll for all Employees.
  • Reviews timesheets and audit data to ensure compliance with company policies and employment standards.
  • Complete all payrollrelated functions, including coordinating timely transmission of all standard and nonstandard payments.
  • Completing yearend processes and reporting requirements including tax forms (T4, T4 summary and WCB remittance).
  • Reconcile and prepare required payroll remittances for all government and nongovernment related bodies.
  • Keeping taxable benefit calculations up to date in payroll system and ensuring they agree to benefits reconciliation.
  • Act as the Canadian Payroll Subject Matter Expert, responding to inquiries from management and employees and providing guidance and recommendations.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of accounts
  • Monthend and general support to Finance Team and Managers
  • Invoicing and payables
  • General admin work as needed

Qualifications/Competencies

The individual in this role will have:

  • Accounting Certificate/Diploma would be considered an asset
  • Minimum 2 years of administrative experience
  • Oil field / Construction / Industrial experience is an asset
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Experience with, Excel, Word, and Office products are an asset
  • Superior problemsolving skills and attention to detail
  • Flexible and adaptable, willing to take on more responsibilities as needed, and devote the time necessary to complete deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under tight deadlines
  • Ability to reliably handle confidential information
  • Is team oriented and dedicated to helping the team achieve its goals

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$32.00-$36.00 per hour
