Cosmo 1:1, formerly ClassUp, is a premier online learning platform connecting K‑12 students in the US, Canada, and across Asia with tutors from top US and Canadian universities and colleges for personalized lessons. Tutors have flexible schedules they set themselves.

This role is ideal for experienced educators who want to connect with students in an after‑school setting, meeting weekly for 50‑minute 1‑on‑1 lessons, and fostering a welcoming, fun learning environment.

Compensation

The base rate is $20 CAD plus additional incentives and bonuses.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1‑on‑1 instruction to students
• Update availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student's age and ability
• Submit class feedback after each lesson
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting
• Communicate with Cosmo staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 3 years of experience teaching K‑12 in math, ELA, or SAT prep
• Experience with K‑12 ELA/Math standards
• Teaching license preferred but not required
• Fast and reliable internet connection and access to a Windows or Mac PC with a minimum CPU of 6000
• Able to commit to a minimum of 6 months of teaching with Cosmo 1:1
• Available between 6‑9 AM EST or 3‑10 PM EST Monday through Friday or during weekends
• Minimum of 20 hours of availability each week
• Access to a private and quiet location
