**Billing & Accounts Payable Officer
Permanent Full-time, 35 hours per week

Summary:
The Billing and Accounts Payable Officer should be highly organized, detail-oriented, accurate, self-motivated
and an excellent team player. This position will share the responsibility of processing accounts payable as well
as assist in reporting to funding bodies and preparing the yearly audit.
Furthermore, this position entails accumulating, organizing and filling all data needed to bill clients for child
care services used. Billing responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining updated information in
client files, including enrolment contracts, attendance and emergency information. The Billing & Accounts
Payable Officer will also prepare and submit monthly invoices to clients and funding agencies, submit regular
statistics to managers and funders, manage and minimize accounts in arrears and issue annual tax receipts.
This position reports to the Manager, Finance & Payroll Services.
Qualifications:
Possession of a three (3) year diploma from an accredited college in Business Administration/Accounting.
Minimum of two year accounts payable experience.
Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, correct accounting and financial records.
Knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, and reporting requirements.
Experience working with SAGE Accounting and ACCEO's Childcare Module is an asset.
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to adapt to new technology.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task, be flexible, and move from one priority to another while maintaining a high level of
accuracy and meeting tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as a team member.
Possess drive, motivation, and acute attention to detail.
Ability to adapt to change and to a fast paced environment.
Ability to work with confidential information.
Meticulous records maintenance skills.
Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
Ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.
Written and verbal proficiency in both official languages (English/French) is an asset.
Clean criminal record check.
